JOB TRAINING II

When training for a job, an employee is likely to receive written instructions. Read the information given to each new bus person at Cobb’s Cafe.

As a bus person at Cobb’s Cafe, you have two main responsibilities. Your first objective is to contribute to the comfort and pleasure of the customer. Your second goal is to assist the server. Your duties include the following:

♦ Set each table in your section according to Cobb’s requirements.

(See page 14 of your training manual.)

♦ Greet customers and fill their water glasses within 2 minutes of seating them.

♦ Remove plates when diners are no longer eating from them.

♦ Offer and deliver refills of bread, butter, water, coffee, tea, iced tea, and soft drinks.

♦ Inform servers of customer needs or problems you observe.

♦ Clear tables and reset them after each party leaves.

You are expected to perform your responsibilities cheerfully and efficiently. If you have questions, do not hesitate to check with the management.
